Behind Nonspeaking Autism

Created from lived experience, curiosity and a determination to understand what may be happening beneath the surface.

Nonspeaking Autism started because I wanted to understand my son James better. James is nonspeaking autistic, and I wanted to understand more about his communication, his sensory differences, his behaviour and what his nervous system might be trying to tell me.

That curiosity led me deeper into the research, and eventually into creating the clear visual resources you see here today.

What started as my own search for answers has grown into a place where I can share free visual resources and clear, research-informed guides to help other families understand a little more of what may be happening underneath the surface too.
